Block Party - OBC & Biltmore Reaches a Dream of Many

Tonight was the first of a week that is certain to be filled with amazing fruit of their labors. Tonight the mission team from Biltmore Baptist Church from Asheville and members from Ogletown Baptist Church put on a block party for the people of Pride's Court Apartments, which is right accross the street from OBC. For a lot of years people have had a vision of something like that to happen and tonight their prayers were answered. Our God reigns in His perfect time. The team consist of 170 young people, leaders and their families. Their team band is named Revealed and was made up of all the young people. Their love for God and their passion to serve and worship their Saviour was awesome...

50 Years of Serving God

This weekend was the 50th Anniversary of Ogletown Baptist Church. It was amazing to see the faithfulness of God throughout the years. It all started in a little farm house where five families saw the fields were white unto harvest and heard their Lord calling them. What a gift of heritage that the Lord Jesus has given the church at OBC!!!!

Jonathan Owen is BAD - Confession

Reality is somnetimes harder than just going on like you have been. If you go on like you have been, you wouldn't change. Change is another word for a biblical word "repent." That is what Jesus calls His followers to do.

Jonathan Owen is my name and I am a bad person. Continually going after idols. The idols I build in my head of what I want out of this America dream that is being sold to me day and night. Lusting after women, wondering what it would be like to have a member of the opposite sex to actually see me in the same way.... honesty is what I am after.

Truthfulness! Faithfulness to my Father!

Oh God, I cry out to You. Save me by Your Spirit

So, you see, I am bad. But the light of the Gospel is brighter than all my badness. It has and will continue to overcome my badness by the power of the Blood of His Cross!!!!

The Lord IS! That is just the way I have to put this. No matter how unfaithful I am, He is still! Still perfect, loving, graceful, bigger than anyone can fathom, wonderful, Triune God.... Just went to the <:: 268 BLOG ::> and was blown away at what our Father is doiong through men and women who hearts are His. Please God, let my life have this effect on this world...

Amazing Night at the OEX and Around Town

Hey Everyone,

Wow, last night was the coolest time I've had in a long time. Karl Lehman had the local Christian Motorcycle Association chapter stop by the Ogletown Exchange for an incredible night. Karl told me that a couple of his buddies wanted to take me for a ride on their bikes. Amazing time! The CMA has a rule that all their rider have to have a New Testement on their bike so the presented me with one and a tshirt from their Run for the Son event....

I was all set for the ride.
It was an hour and a half of amazing wind in your face worship really... Being out in the open space with Jesus so evident. He is truly the Just and Justifier of those who have Faith in Him...
This is the man who's bike I rode on. His name is is Orland and he was great. He said I could ride anytime... Told I would keep him to that...
