What this life is about?

James 1:27
Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

Rain! Rain! Rain!

There is a southern gospel song that is called that. I have grown up in that arena... Their great four part hamornies still have a way of speaking to my heart. The reason I bring this song up is the reference to the Water in the Isaiah 43 song that meant sooo much last weekend. I am coming out of the desert of my own making. So much disobedience to what the LORD has said but He graciously sends rains to water our souls. Amazing!!!!

I really feel that I haven't lingered in these verses long enough... Let the Lord speak to your heart oh, Christian for all the promises of God are for us and what we feed on.

II Corinthians 1:20 For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us.

Verse 1, "But now, thus says"

right now, in this time, in this place. It just was like the Lord was telling me right now is the time that He was speaking to me. Just an amazing reminder what follows is what is true of my life right now.

"The Lord, Your Creator"

He created us! The Lord of Heaven! The same Creator of the stars, galaxies, planets, 10 billion suns! This is our Father Creator... Father, because the blood of Jesus has adopted us into the family of Eternal God!!!

"Jacob"

All the promises are yes in Jesus Christ the Righteous One. We can substitute our name if we are in Christ! What an amazing state of being. I think we might take all the blessings that the gospel affords to us for granted. I know I do sooo much! Joy! Peace! In Jesus!

More to come!!!

Jonathan,
Unfortunately all of us through our own pride and our own disobedience spend time in that desert you mentioned.Believe it is a mind problem. "You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had,"Philippians 2:5 NLT. Jesus Christ was humble, willing to give up His rights in order to obey God and serve people. Like Christ, we should have a sevant's attitude, serving out of love for God and for others. We must remember,we choose our attitude. We can approach life expecting to be served, or you can look for opportunities to serve others. Our choice. Our will or His! Thanks for bringing this to mind. Rain Rain Rain!!!!
